Four ways to pay less

this winter
  1. Know the cap. In Ontario, resale can't go above the original all-in price. If a listing looks far above face value, that's your cue. Source: CP24
  2. Buy direct when you can. Some Toronto shows skip the middleman: the National Ballet sells its own Nutcracker tickets, from $72. Source: National Ballet of Canada
  3. Compare the all-in price. Canada's Competition Bureau has already fined Ticketmaster $4.5 million over prices that left out mandatory fees. Source: Pollstar
